Ben Affleck is reportedly desperate to win estranged wife Jennifer Garner back.
It’s been almost a year since the couple announced their plans to divorce after 10 years of marriage, though they still share a close relationship. After venturing out together on numerous occasions with their children Violet, 10, seven-year-old Seraphina and Samuel, four, and allegedly being seen locking lips, sources claim Batman star Ben doesn’t want to lose his spouse.
“Ben wants Jen back,” an insider told People, while a second source added, “Ben wants to get back together. He wants her back.”
However, it appears Jennifer isn’t set on the idea of trying again just yet. The pair were plagued with rumors of troubles for some time before announcing their split last June, with Ben even addressing it during his Oscars speech in 2013 by commenting on the “work” needed to maintain their union. A clearly embarrassed Jennifer didn’t speak out at the time and with claims the divorce was triggered by her husband’s rumored infidelity, the actress apparently needs some time by herself right now.
“Jen is not ready to take Ben back,” a source noted. “Ben has never been good alone and isn’t now either. But he is constantly working on himself. He has made big changes.”
However insiders note nothing else has changed in their relationship and they are still discussing their divorce, and putting their offspring first. The family are currently in London, England, while Ben shoots movie Justice League, giving them the chance to pop over to Paris earlier this month.
“They are co-parenting the best they can,” a further source who knows both stars commented. “Whatever incarnation of a relationship this is works for them.”
